Where we are coming from is often as important as where we are going. Where we stand often determines what we (can) see – and where we can go from there. Putting things into perspective means recognizing and honoring each particular point of view – as well as that it is an incomplete aspect, glimpse, or understanding of a bigger picture.
While
The Pardes Perspective does not always take a (formulaic) fourfold “
PARDES” approach to looking at thing, I do strive to consider that there may be more to things than is apparent (to me). A cohesive and comprehensive approach to understanding anything usually includes accepting and integrating multiple (possible) views. Seeing things differently is like those optical illusions that have more than one image visible depending on how you look.
While there may be absolute truths, our perspective is, by definition, subjective (and conditional). That’s my perspective. What’s yours?
